Blueberry fruits can provide increased ability to remember and to learn significantly. Blueberries are also proved to reduce damage to brain cells, thereby reducing the risk of dementia or other problems in the brain. Blueberries effects for increasing the brain power not only been tested on mice, but researchers also proved that on humans. Tests on two small groups consisting of 18 participants aged 70.
At the beginning of the study, reported that participants have signs of memory disorders. One group was given two cups of blueberry juice every day for 3 months, whereas the other group was given only a placebo drink (pseudo) but thought the beverage contains blueberries. Only within 3 months after consumed blueberry juice, the participants could remember list of names more quickly, result high scores on words test and tend to experience decrease of depression.
The results of this study hopefully can encourage someone to eat blueberries as a supplement to prevent or restore the brain decreased. Blueberry is known to have antosianin chemical compounds which can accelerate the delivery of messages or information to the brain and prevent cells from damage that is related with age.
Blueberry is a super fruit because blueberry has other virtues which are can resist cancer, heart disease, asthma, cataract and others.
