Sleep itself consists of 5 phases, which is: drowsiness, light sleep, 2 stages of deep sleep and the last stage is REM (rapid eye movement). In this REM stage, respiratory, heart rate and eye movements became faster and the muscles became temporary paralyzed, at this stage dream is usually happen. Each person may be having different sleep needs, and usually people with different ages also require different sleep time.

Babies need time to sleep about 17 hours, while older children need time to sleep about 10 hours. For most adults need 7-8 hours of sleep time. People tend to sleep less during aging. Older people usually need more time to sleep, with the number and length of sleepy phase which is increased then time for sleep becomes less. Sleep difficulty or insomnia is the inability to get to sleep or stay asleep in sufficient time.

This situation can make condition of the body becomes tired, because sleep is very important for our health same as diet arrangement or sports. Any causes of sleep difficulty or insomnia, can affect us both physically or mentally. People who suffer from sleep difficulty or insomnia said that his life quality become lower than people who sleep well.
